Energi i Nord and Business Oulu, in collaboration with Arctic Six, are organizing a workshop focused on cross-border energy cooperation in Northern Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Workshop Objective

The primary objective is to establish strategic collaborative projects that connect industries, energy stakeholders, and Arctic Six.

Workshop Scope

The transition to green energy offers significant opportunities, alongside notable challenges. Rapid climate changes are particularly impacting the Arctic region, making local, targeted solutions vital. Arctic actors – from local communities to regional businesses – have unique stakes in addressing these challenges effectively. Thus, we aim to bring companies and universities together to develop impactful research and development initiatives that accelerate value creation and promote social progress.

Workshop Topics

• De-carbonisation of existing industries

• Transport of new energy carriers

• Energy infrastructure and cybersecurity for the new energy system

• Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS)

• Critical raw materials

• Societal challenges in energy transition: social license, land use conflicts, innovation, adaptation, engagemen.
